WHAT A MARVELOUS PRESENTATION!!!! I AM SO PROUD OF MY STUDENTS! I AM SO PROUD OF OUR SCHOOL!
HOORAY! We finally finished reading Roald Dahl's awesome book! As a treat, we threw ourselves a party filled with chocolate, goodies, and the original Willy Wonka movie!!!!!
Just some pics of the awesome things we did: Door decoration contest, Ugly Sweater contest, Xmas ornament gifts, Pajammie day, and our Annual Xmas party which is probably the best we've had. LOOK at all the food our parents brought by for us!!! We felt so special and full!!!!!
Aren't these cute? My students made each of them with tender love and with respect to show appreciation for our brave and honorable soldiers. :)
A School Wide incentive for good behavior! Unfortunately none of my students won, but there's always next month!!!! Oh! The weather was in the beautiful 60's and the sun was out. Need I say more? :) It was wonderful and the children were wonderful as well. They saw how the Native Americans were exposed to religion and a different way of life on the mission, and while on the bus, the smile on their faces lit up when they saw the sand dunes against the ocean waves.
I was so proud of my students today. As part of Fresno Unified's College and Career Ready program, our 4th graders went to Young Chef's Academy, a local culinary business geared towards kids and healthy eating. We learned how to be positive and try new things. We learned fractions and that math was tied to cooking. My students asked such great questions to Chef Denise such as:
- When you were young, did you always wanted to become a chef? - Do you watch Master Chef? - Do you have children? Will they ever join Master Chef? - How is life like being a chef? - Did you have to go to college to become a chef? How many years? All students left this experiences with a healthy and tasty vegetarian pizza and a recipe for pizza dough which was super easy to make. Let's hope our children will always become lifelong learners and health-conscious! |
